If you look at the map of the state. The western part of the state is almost complete, and then expanded. Why not just to West Virginia?

I grew up in Maryland, and said it looked like a caulking gun. From the border, where it narrows as the Mason Dixon Line and the Potomac River are Hancock, MD, close only 6 miles wide.

It would not be at West Virginia, Virginia would have been the time. West Virginia was later taken to Virginia.

Maryland, should be even stronger for the West. The surveyors made fixing the boundary in the northern branch of the Potomac River. They said that was the largest tributary of the Potomac River. But we now know that, the South Branch of the Potomac River flow more water and should be more than in the south, in fact, the largest tributary of Maryland beyond the borders. If you click on the link and drag an imaginary line from north of the headwaters of the South Branch of the Potomac, Maryland, you can see how big it should be.

The main sources of the Potomac River is the natural border between South and MD VA. The charter defines the Potomac, MD, which defines the border of William Penn - Penn had received his letter from 1632 in Calvert. The head of sources have been defined by the Fairfax Stone, the name of Lord Fairfax, who watched the border of VA. When Virginia broke in 1864, wanted the MD 3 counties south of the Potomac, but the Supreme Court ruled that Fairfax is a stone, the de facto end of the MD border.

Mason-Dixon line was established the boundary between MD, PA and DE. The border between the Palestinian Authority and has until the 19th Century drew to fill in a gap, if the circle with a radius of 12 miles from New Castle Court House junction with the Mason Dixon.

In Hancock, is the distance between the Potomac River, the Mason Dixon line a mile.

Delmarva Peninsula is rarer still - why not just part of the Delaware, Maryland - Virginia and why you get the point of him? I know they will answer questions related to issues, but Maryland is a kind of scrambled. I think most are too close to DC - and it's even worse state of Maryland.

Maryland and Virginia are among the 13 original colonies. Virginia was the first steak. They claimed that the land in your state. If your state of Maryland does not bother him and did not want that filth in Virginia. The settlers worked like beavers to mark their territory. Maryland, wanted to be different - because it could - and his fitness is fun. In West Virginia --- Whiskey allow decision-makers - moonshiners anyone to take his belongings. Black powder rifle breath and shot the attacker would be sent violently.to. After cooling, the ghosts of Maryland found that they could buy the moon. White flags went out and apologized to the agenda, with a jug of beer tastes sweet to find your head dizzy Mountain Dew.

Because there is less of Pennsylvania and Virginia, neighboring colonies with more than Maryland. Other things, that care about the strange shape of Maryland: Potomac River in the background, the Chesapeake Bay and the Mason-Dixon.

And do not diss Maryland is a decent state.

Well, during the pancross country is the world divided into seven continents. As North America was the United States, the continent was divided into 48 states (the others are Alaska and Hawaii), who was following the action the way to Maryland.
